Chinese Medicine Consultation from $20

The doctor needs to consult patient regarding their body condition every session to decide whether the treatment approach is working or needs to be altered. A thorough TCM consultation will consist of series of questions on symptoms & signs and the art of tongue and pulse diagnosis. Initial consultation session will be longer than subsequent consults. Please refer to 'My First Visit' for a more detailed explanation on what goes on in a typical TCM consultation.

Acupuncture from $50

Acupuncture involves the insertion of disposable thin needles into acupuncture points based on the ancient Meridian System (energy channels). See how thin our needles are here! The primary goal of acupuncture is to promote the flow of Qi (energy) & blood in the channels as most health problems arise from poor and blockages of circulation. This form of therapy is free of side effects and especially effective for pain relief but is also used to treat systemic disorders in conjunction with Chinese herbal medicine.

Moxibustion $20

Moxibustion is a type of warming therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture. Dried mugwort (moxa) is aged and processed into cigar-shaped sticks or cones, during the therapy they are burnt and is either applied on a region, acupuncture point(s) or placed on top of acupuncture needles. The aim of moxibustion is to enhance acupuncture's effects, activate circulation of Qi & blood and dispel cold from the body. It can treat wide range of conditions especially those who are easily tired and sensitive to cold. It is also often used to turn breech babies. Our clinic does not apply moxa directly on the skin and hence there will be no scarring effect.

Cupping $20

Cupping is a form of Chinese Medicine therapy in which cups are applied to the skin along the channels of the body to create localised suction. In our clinic, the suction is created by a mechanical pump instead of heat/fire and generally applied on your back. Depending on your condition the cups can be stationary or mobile. Mobile cupping is an alternative form of Gua Sha therapy and is done to stimulate the flow of blood and Qi and release muscle tension. Cupping (especially mobile) can treat pain and musculoskeletal disorders, common cold, circulatory disorders, anxiety, irritability and insomnia. Wet cupping is also offered in the clinic and is used especially for trauma and injury.
